Each technician is instilled with a sense of pride in the company and they act in a professional and polite manner. Furthermore, they will either cover the floor where they work, walk with drop cloths or runners, or wear floor savers. And, when they are finished, they will clean up their work area instead of leaving the mess as others do. All our technicians are certified drug-free and crime-free through our extensive drug screening and background check process. Each technician wears a photo security i.d. badge verifying this information.

Don’t fall into the trap of hiring a company that is able to offer a cheaper price because they operate without a license, don’t ‘pull’ required permits, or don’t carry adequate insurance. Selvey Heating & Cooling is a licensed contractor and obtains all municipal and state permits as required. Selvey Heating & Cooling is insured for Workers Compensation and for liability insurance.

Your safety and security is #1 with us. All our employees are screened for drug use and we run a criminal background check on everyone before we send them to your home. We provide picture ID badges that verify that they have passed our rigorous checks.

Compliance with codes and adequate insurance is important to you for liability reasons. If a worker is injured and the contractor is not insured, you can be held liable. Or, if there is an insurance claim due to a fire or an accident that is related to unlicensed work or work for which no permit was obtained, your insurance company may dispute the claim. You also want to avoid questions related to workmanship when you sell the house, which may end up costing you more than the original repair to correct.

Every employee is run through a criminal background check and must pass a drug screening before they are allowed to work for Selvey Heating & Cooling. All employees are subject to random drug testing at any time. The bottom line is that the only people who are hired are people that the owners and managers would feel comfortable having in their own homes with their wives and children present.

We want you to be comfortable with our workers entering your home so we also provide a photo ID badge that certifies that they have cleared their background check. You can take a look at all our employees by going to our company directory.

Our company is committed to the technical excellence of the service we provide you and, therefore, require our 'champion' technicians to attend regular training sessions. As a matter of fact, our technicians are NATE certified.  This is important because it means someone besides Selvey has certified that our technicians know what they are doing.  Indiana does not require any kind of technical certification of technicians regarding their technical abilities, so this is important to you. 

Besides the technician who actually does the repair, Selvey Heating & Cooling has highly competent and experienced field supervisors who, although you may never see, provide valuable backup to the technician. So, should a second opinion ever be required about a technical question, you don’t have to worry because the technician has highly qualified expertise to bring to each call.

Also, additional backup is available in the office to support the field technician on your job. Should a question arise about prior work performed for you, or if a part needs to be special ordered, the technician needs only to call to access that help.
